“to protect them from spiritual damage, extreme indoctrination, and other serious problems.” Oh my God, i couldn’t continue reading after i read that. if that ain’t the pot calling the kettle black, i don’t know what is. I was bred, born and raised catholic, until my parents lost their own faith after i was confirmed catholic at about 13/14 years of age. i went to catholic school from 1st to 3rd grade, then tuition became to expensive or the parents were to cheap, actually it was both.
As a 6 year old who believed in the easter bunny and santa and tooth fairy… i was taught some terrifying crap. i went to the ursuline academy, taught by ursuline nuns. they were miserable old wretches that hated free thought of any kind. this was in the early 1960’s. like the American Indians that were kidnapped from their families, interned in a catholic school, haircut all exactly alike, their soft handmade clothing from hides taken and they were put in a uniforms all looking exactly alike, monoculturalised. us guys were a little liberated from the uniform thing and could wear different colors, but not the girls, they looked like the kidnapped Indian children in the internment camps/schools. the nuns wore “habits” that look almost identical to the Muslim bourkas (spelling?)that we see today!
The first thing i learned was in the beginning God spoke the word. i have spent just shy of 6 decades trying to find or figure out what the word is. all i find is i am surrounded by a shitpot full of contentious, sometimes life threatening, arguing, and way to much whining about nothing.
I then learned that God created the entire universe for us, and only us, there is nobody else, because he loves us and only us. Not only did he create everything He is everywhere too. in the Earth, the plants and animals, the clouds. He is even in the wood that makes up my school desk!! And He is watching me too. if i screw up he will punish me severely. there are 2 types of screw ups, venial and mortal sins. in public schools they are referred to as misdemeanors and felonies, i think. venial sins would be swearing or stealing a cooky before supper, mortal is murder and adultery. since i was only 6 years old, i knew i couldn’t commit murder and i was not an adult, i didn’t even know what adultery was as i was a child. sex was also dirty, icky, and sinful, and i must save it for my wife or God will punish me. later i realized that sex like that was adultery and i will burn in hell for all eternity. also deeply rooted in that was the insinuation that i must never, ever, ever, ever, under any circumstances, for any reason whatsoever touch my penis! nuns also told us God could and would strike us down with lightening!!!remember 6 years old, santa, tooth fairy? many phobias and inhibitions were spawned in catholic school. useless and emotionally crippling. Ursuline Academy is on the national historic land mark list. it can only be because it is the epicenter for many superstitions, inhibitions, phobias, and childhood nightmares. and if God’s wrath doesn’t scare you enough, enter the devil. always poking us in the arss with his red hot pitch fork, making us do naughty things so he can torture us for eternity.
I will admit that public schools aren’t the best in the world, especially in the inner cities, but that is the govt’s fault. they will not warp your mind, either. but the fact is our entire capitalistic society runs on warping people’s minds. billions have been made on this and many billion dollar companies exist today. catholicism has made billions on our emotions, leaving me feeling guilty and shameful of my nude form. the cosmetics industry makes billions with ads that make us loathsome of the way God or nature has endowed us. the govt’ made the female bosom illegal to look at. we are the only species on the entire planet that is offended if we see our young suckling in front of our own kind.
War, or killing in the name of any loving benevolent god is a sin and should be a crime, yet it seems no matter what god you worship they all do it. our economy, society has become completely militarized, the elite 1%ers make billions in profit, and us working class pay for it all. who is psychologically screwing people up? not public schools.
Thanks for dropping in Randolf! This is still under construction and I am having a hell of a time getting caught up to work on it.
Yes I saw that too. Please let me clarify something about my own sentiments on Religion. Roberto knows this because we have talked about it on the side by email so I didn’t include this in my post. But I stand on the same side you do with indoctrination of ANY kind, especially religious.
Here’s the deal about this particular situation. Make no mistake, the current extreme progressive communistic indoctrination is in fact also an extreme cult. It is just as bad as any religious indoctrination.
When snowflakes are rioting, talking about killing themselves, cutting off their genitals, and insisting on tax dollars to fund their group therapy because of an election…it is a cult greater in magnitude than even the Jim jones fiasco.
Public schools are by law supposed to be neutral on all secular and political indoctrination. Currently they are not, the progressive radical cultist agenda is being allowed to be forced on young innocent minds. Out of place brainwashing is brainwashing no matter the source.
We have to keep in mind that sending a child to a secular school is a choice and not compulsory. Charter Schools are also a choice if one can afford them. But everyone else is forced to send their children to public school. So because we are in fact currently spending our Grandchildren’s prosperity, it is them who are being forced to pay for their own communist indoctrination against their own will or choice.
This is wrong no matter how you perceive it. The political and activism issues will confront them soon enough in life as young adults. We need to just leave them alone to be kids while they still can be just kids.
The only reason I support this boycott is because I am a firm believer that what is good for the Goose is good for the Gander. It cannot be just one-sided with bias and lack of neutrality. And what is currently being forced on these kids is indeed a cult and just as bad as any other Religious order. And hitting them in the pocketbook by boycotting is the one and only tool still available to “The People” that will stand a chance of making a change in this.
Thanks for dropping in and sharing your time Sir! please come share anytime you like. I hope to have this all tuned up in a couple weeks as time allows. I would absolutely be honored for you to come and a member if you like. There is also private messaging, a forum, and a chat set up in here for logged in members. And I hope to get a truly “private and secure” email server set up also.:)
I will be out of town and unable to reply back for a couple days so please have a great weekend!
I think our public schools are a cesspool, frankly. Like everything else they have become politicized and lost sight of their purpose (education not indoctrination). But, I think religious schools are just as bad. A close friend of mine attended Catholic school all the way through 12th grade and she has a lot of horror stories to tell about the nuns. I also have several Native American friends who were taken from the reservation and put into BIA dorms and made to attend white public schools in the city so they could become “civilized.” They have a lot of horror stories too as the dorms were nothing short of Nazi concentration camps.
Honestly, I think our public schools need to go back to teaching our children the basics and skills for adult and work life. They need to teach our children to be critical thinkers and how to be creative and innovative.
Yep…Absolutely! Just leave them alone and let them be just kids for awhile. Teach them HOW to think, not WHAT to think! lol
